Many people are unsure exactly how a chiropractor treats individuals for pain and confuse chiropractic treatments with other treatments.
A chiropractor is a health care professional who looks to diagnose and treat neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine.

Most chiropractors seek to reduce pain and improve the functionality of patients. In addition to improving an individual's health and fitness chiropractors also seek to educate clients on how they can improve their own health via exercise to treat back and other pain.

Chiropractors use a variety of non-surgical treatments to treat patients with certain types of:

  • Lower back pain
  • Leg pain - sciatica
  • Neck pain
  • Repetitive strains
  • Headaches
  • Sports injuries
  • Car accident injuries
  • Arthritic pain

While primarily focusing on treating neuromusculoskeletal disorders, chiropractors are not exclusively limited to problems with the nervous system and musculoskeletal system.

At the Optimal Swing Clinic we often refer patients to doctors or other health practitioners for treatment of lower back pain as we have a local referral network with other specialists.
